Local to me, is the annual Eastbourne International Airshow, which is one of the UK's largest free airshows, attracts huge crowds and takes place just off the beach.
First begun in 1993, the show is well supported by the Royal Air Force and the other UK armed services.
Eastboure also regularly attracts support from overseas, particular the Belgian and Dutch air forces.
Spread over four days of flying dislays in August, there are other events around Eastbourne including concerts and an impressive fireworks display.
Highlights of the show:
- The Red Arrows display team.
- The Avro Vulcan B2 bomber XH558, G-VLCN.
- Breitling Wingwalkers.
- Lancaster bromber from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
- Supermarine Spitfire Mk1from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
- Hunter Missdemeanour Hawker Hunter F58a 'Miss Demeanour'.
- Tornado GR4 .
